Cardiff University selected for Tier 4 Pilot

As you may have already heard, Cardiff University is excited to confirm that we have been selected by the Home Office to be part of their Tier 4 pilot scheme for the 2018/19 intake.

This will mean that students studying on Masters courses at Cardiff (which are of 13 months or less) from September 2018 will be granted up to six months leave on their visa from the date their course ends. This will be particularly helpful for those considering staying in the UK on completion of their course to look for work.

The pilot will also help streamline the visa application process meaning universities are responsible for eligibility checks and students may be able to submit fewer documents. However, all students continue to be subject to Immigration Rules. Further details of the visa requirements for Cardiff University will be available in the New Year.
